UAE has officially announced the petrol and diesel prices for July 2026, offering welcome relief to motorists following four months of consecutive petrol and diesel price hikes. The new rates take effect on 1st July 2026 and are a substantial drop across all fuel categories, due to the drop in oil prices in the world during June.
UAE Fuel Prices for July 2026
| Fuel Type | July 2026 | June 2026 |
| Super 98 Petrol | Dh3.40/L | Dh3.95/L |
| Special 95 Petrol | Dh3.29/L | Dh3.83/L |
| E-Plus 91 Petrol | Dh3.21/L | Dh3.76/L |
| Diesel | Dh3.60/L | Dh4.33/L |
The latest hike comes after a long run of fuel price hikes since the tensions flared up this year in the region. The prices of petrol and diesel have grown by more than 60 percent in the past four months, due to geopolitical unrest and fears of global energy shortages. International crude oil prices fell during June, bringing down retail fuel prices nationwide, which had been expected to result in a reduction for July.
Lower fuel prices will bring financial relief to people and businesses by easing their transportation costs. The reduction is likely to benefit motorists, logistics operators and commercial transport operators who had been facing high fuel prices for months.
The announcement also arrives weeks after the UAE announced its withdrawal from OPEC and OPEC+ from membership on May 1, 2026, after having been a member for over six decades. According to energy analysts, the decision would enable the country to increase its future oil production capacity depending on the market conditions and production capacity. Fuel prices will come into effect with the new rates until the next review scheduled by the committee to review fuel prices every month.
