Students Raise Concerns After Class 12 Results

The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) UAE has addressed the grievances of Class 12 students regarding the new On-Screen Marking System for this year’s board exams. CBSE Responds to Social Media Reactions

The parents of one of the boys are outside the institution. But one of the boys’ parents is outside the institution. The Board is “extremely sensitive” to student concerns, and that student well-being is a priority, the Board said in its statement released May 16.

CBSE reminded the parents and the students to reach out to the official channels for help and to solve any doubts regarding the performance rather than approaching online channels for the same.

What is On-Screen Marking System?

The On-Screen Marking system enables teachers to mark the scanned answer sheets “digitally” unlike manually marking physical copies.

CBSE says that this system is meant to enhance:

  • Uniformity in evaluation
  • Transparency in marking
  • Accurate and error-free accuracy.
  • Faster assessment process

Re-Evaluation Options Available

If students are not satisfied with their results they may apply for:

  • Verification of marks
  • Access to evaluated answer sheets
  • Re-evaluation process

“All concerns are listened to and all students receive support,” said CBSE.
