Sharjah, March 24, 2026: Sharjah branch of government has declared that free public parking will be extended to all parts of the emirate due to the unpredictable weather that is still affecting the area.
Based on the authorities, the exemption applies to all the government-owned parking spots, including those that are normally charged during the weekdays and on holidays, as shown by the blue parking signs. Nonetheless, smart parking facilities cannot enjoy this exemption and will still have to work on regular charged basis.
Depending on weather conditions, the decision shall be in force till further notice.
