UAE 2nd Extension of Distance Learning — Parents Allowed to Work Remotely

UAE distance learning extended

UAE has declared a two-week extension of distance learning at all schools and universities following the spring break (March 9- 22) as one of the efforts to guarantee the safety of students and the continuity of their education.

Ministry of Education affirmed that distance education will be used on students, educators, and personnel of nurseries, schools, and independent institutions, and weekly reviews are established. The institutions can demand a reversion to face-to-face classes, which is subject to approval.

Ministry of Higher Education also affirmed that the universities will remain online, and staff arrangement flexibility will be allowed.

Besides, the Federal Authority on Government Human Resources has endorsed working remotely by parents who have children attending nursery up to Grade 8 as long as their job permits them to do so.
