Metro, tram, buses, parking and service centre schedules released on January 1.
Dubai: Dubai roads and transport authority (RTA) have verified that people have no charge when parking on Wednesday, January 1, 2026 in the emirate as part of the new year holiday.
The initiative on free parking will be extended to all parking areas under the government and car parks excluding multi storey car parks and Al Khail Gate (N-365). Regular charges on parking will go back to Friday, January 2.
Besides parking news, the RTA has declared modified working hours of the public transport services and customer support facilities during the holidays. Citizens and tourists are encouraged to make prior arrangements to their travels to save on inconveniences.
Customer Happiness Centres
The Customer Happiness Centres of all RTA will remain closed on the New Year. Nevertheless, Smart Customer Happiness Areas will remain in Al Barsha, Al Twar, Al Kifaf, and at the RTA headquarters, which will be available 24 hours daily with no gaps in the provision of the necessary digital services.
