After uncovering severe food safety violations at a restaurant located at M17 in Mussafah, Abu Dhabi authorities UAE have ordered the eatery to close down, as it became dangerous to the health and safety of the local population.
Abu Dhabi Agriculture and Food Safety Authority (ADAFSA) declared the requirement of administrative closure of Mohammad Delwar Hossain restaurant that is functioning under commercial licence CN 4216320. It was discovered that the establishment had breached the Law No. (2) 2008 food safety laws in the emirate.
ADAFSA reported that a comprehensive food control report led to the decision due to repeated violations. According to officials, the restaurant had not taken effective corrective action even though warning measures had been issued to the restaurant, thus becoming non-compliant.
The authorities highlighted that the closure was done to protect consumers, and urgent measures were implemented because the risks related to the violations existed.
This is the sixth predetermined restaurant to be closed by ADAFSA in April 2026, which emphasizes the further enforcement processes.
ADAFSA restated a strong commitment to ensuring good food safety and hygiene in Abu Dhabi. The authority also encouraged all the food establishments to strictly comply with regulations, and they said violations would be met with decisive action to ensure the health of the people was taken seriously.
